It’s wild to think about just how much the TV landscape has changed. Just a few years ago cable television was the top dog, but now streaming services offer up the best series. This was especially evident in 2022. Below I have listed my 10 favorite series of the year along with a list of notable favorites.

Given that today is Halloween, now felt like the right time for a follow up. There won’t be any standard picks here like “Halloween” or “Night Of The Living Dead.” Instead, I wanted to spotlight 10 underrated or overlooked recent horror films that deserve the spotlight. Truth be told, it was tough to narrow it down to 10 as there are numerous noteworthy documentaries, shorts, films, animated series and nature specials to choose from. Considering Disney+ has only been around close to 3 years, there’s already a wealth of recommended exclusive releases to choose from. I’m sure the future will be even brighter. Not only are some of the biggest TV series of the year being released, but there’s a fair number of movies, albums and events coming our way too. Traditionally, August is a rather bare month as the summer entertainment season winds down. This August is a different story as there are plenty of major releases. While I could have included more titles like “Bullet Train” and “Day Shift” I ultimately settled on the 10 listed below. On with the list!
