What’s Being Released In September 2022?

Traditionally, September is the least eventful month of the year entertainment wise, but that’s certainly not the case this year. Not only are some of the biggest TV series of the year being released, but there’s a fair number of movies, albums and events coming our way too. Below I have singled out the 10 most noteworthy entertainment release to keep an eye out for (in my humble opinion).

1. Andor- Barring another delay (let’s hope not), the hotly anticipated Star Wars ‘Rogue One’ prequel Disney+ series premieres on Sept. 21 with THREE episodes.

2. The Lord Of The Rings: The Rings Of Power- Honestly, I have no idea what to make of this forthcoming Amazon Prime series. On one hand, I’m naturally curious as a casual LOTR fan. On the other hand, this could be a disaster ala the Hobbit trilogy. Only time will tell. Sept. 2.

3. D23- The big Disney convention is sure to have major reveals about upcoming movies, shows, video games and theme park attractions. Can’t wait to see what news comes out of the event Sept 9-11.

4. Weezer- SZNZ: Autumn- Weezer’s year long SZNZ project continues with Autumn on Sept. 22.

5. Clerks 3- Kevin Smith hasn’t exactly been on top of his game lately (to put it mildly), but hopefully he knocks it out of the park with this long awaited 3rd installment Sept. 13.

6. Quantum Leap- After years of rumors and failed attempts, the beloved sci-fi franchise returns with a reboot on NBC Sept 19. Maybe Scott Bakula will return too?

7. Hocus Pocus 2- 29 years later, the sequel to the cult hit family horror-comedy makes its way to Disney+ Sept. 30.

8. Cobra Kai Season 5- One of TV’s best series returns to Netflix Sept. 9.

9. Confess, Fletch- One of the most intriguing and out of the blue releases this year is a brand new Fletch movie starring Jon Hamm. Sept. 16 on VOD.

10. Friday The 13th 4K UHD- After years of Blu-ray re-releases, the original F13 movie gets the 4K treatment. When will the rest of the series hit 4K though? September 13.
