It’s wild to think about just how much the TV landscape has changed. Just a few years ago cable television was the top dog, but now streaming services offer up the best series. This was especially evident in 2022. Below I have listed my 10 favorite series of the year along with a list of notable favorites.
With a severe lack of movies in 2020, people were able to take solace in the fact that TV shows were still being released on both TV and through streaming services. Thankfully, there was a great deal to watch while we all quarantined even though there was a lot of mediocrity to sift through. Below I have listed my 10 personal favorite shows of 2020 along with some notables. Let the list begin!
With the 13th Doctor era fast approaching (and a potential trailer dropping tomorrow from San Diego Comic-Con), “Doctor Who” is on my mind once again. Having already done a top 10 episode list, I figured it was probably time to do my ranking of the Doctors. I should note that this list is by no means set in stone. Since I like all of the Doctors, this list is constantly fluctuating. However, at this very moment, this is my personal ranking. On with the list! Continue reading →
San Diego Comic-Con is now one week away and the buzz is already mounting as to what sort of announcements, trailers, and so on we will be seeing in all forms of media. Having poured over the panel listings, I thought I would chime in with what I am personally excited to hear about and or hopefully see online as I will not be attending myself. Of course, there is some speculation involved here on my part, but that goes without saying. Anyway, on with the list! Continue reading →
2017 was a banner year for television. Sure, there were a few disappointments (I’m looking at you “Fargo” and “Game of Thrones”), but the year saw plenty of returning favorites, beloved shows resurrected from the dead, new gems, and, more importantly, shows comprised of a wide variety of genres. Say what you will about Netflix as a company, but they once again dominated TV with new seasons of great shows and a plethora of new (and resurrected) series. Netflix wasn’t the only game in town, however, as FX, Showtime, and even CBS All Access all had something to offer. Below I have compiled a list of my ten favorite series of 2017 (along with a few notables) as well 10 of the worst shows 2017 had to offer. On with the list! Continue reading →
Now that the full schedule has been released, it’s time to start hypothesizing about what we will see from San Diego Comic Con this year. While I won’t be attending the Con myself, I will (as per usual) be monitoring all of the news from geek mecha with bated breath. Below I have listed my personal list of the most anticipated panels. Obviously, there are other panels I will be keeping my eye on, but these 10 are the ones that I am most looking forward to reading and or hearing about. On with the list! Continue reading →
