It’s wild to think about just how much the TV landscape has changed. Just a few years ago cable television was the top dog, but now streaming services offer up the best series. This was especially evident in 2022. Below I have listed my 10 favorite series of the year along with a list of notable favorites.
Summer is officially here and there’s no shortage of entertainment options in theaters, on streaming, on home video and even in person. Below I have listed 10 things to keep an eye out for in July.
May-August has traditionally been the summer entertainment season, but as of late, April has become a month for major releases. That is certainly the case in April 2022 which sees the release of big movies (in theaters and on streaming), new albums, the return of TV favorites, potential new TV favorites, and some high profile home video releases. Narrowing it down to 10 was tough this month, but the selections below have something for everyone.

Also included is a top 5 worst TV series of 2016 list (Thankfully, I managed to avoid most of the worst series). On with the list! Continue reading →
2015 was largely an underwhelming year for cinema (that best/worst list will be coming soon), but it was a good year for TV and web series. As per usual, cable and various other platforms (like Netflix) had the best series while the networks were generally a wasteland of tedious dreck. For the most part, I managed to avoid a lot of the “worst” series of the year so that list is fairly small this time around. Anyway, enough of my chatter, on with the list! Continue reading →
