With the release of “The Mandalorian” season 3 a mere week away now, now felt like the opportune time to take a look back at all of the Disney era Star Wars live-action and animated series. Note: “Ewoks,” “Droids,” and the 2003 “Star Wars: The Clone Wars” are not included on this list as they were released prior to the Disney acquisition of Lucasfilm.
It’s wild to think about just how much the TV landscape has changed. Just a few years ago cable television was the top dog, but now streaming services offer up the best series. This was especially evident in 2022. Below I have listed my 10 favorite series of the year along with a list of notable favorites.
There seemed to be an exhausting amount of series this year across TV and streamers, but thankfully there was no shortage of quality shows. Below I have listed my 10 personal favorites alongside a fair amount of notables. On with the list!
Although there are bound to be plenty of yet to be announced TV series and or surprises, there is already a lot to look forward to in terms of series that we know are on the horizon.
