What’s Being Released In July 2022?

Summer is officially here and there’s no shortage of entertainment options in theaters, on streaming, on home video and even in person. Below I have listed 10 things to keep an eye out for in July.

1. Stranger Things Season 4 Volume 2- The wait for the final 2 episodes of season 4 is almost. Who lives? Who dies? We’ll find out tomorrow July 1 on Netflix.

2. Resident Evil- There’s been Resident Evil movies, animated features and an animated series, but now Netflix is putting out a live-action RE series. I’m intrigued to say the least. July 14.

3. 1Up- As a fan of director Kyle Newman’s “Fanboys,” I’m looking forward to seeing the filmmaker make a comedy set in the world of esports. July 15 on Amazon Prime.

4. Light And Magic- A documentary series on Industrial Light And Magic. What more needs to be said? July 27 on Disney+.

5. Thor: Love And Thunder- The biggest movie of July is undoubtedly the fourth installment in the Thor franchise. July 8 in theaters.

6. Better Call Saul- The final 6 episodes of season 6 start up July 11 on AMC. I can’t wait to see how one of the best series on TV wraps up.

7. San Diego Comic-Con 2022- With the rise of D23, DC Fandome, and Star Wars Celebration, SDCC doesn’t quite have the same impact as it once did. However, given that this will be the first major SDCC since 2019, the convention might be able to find new life (especially with the announced Marvel Studios panel). July 21-24.

8. The Gray Man- The Russo Brothers return with a big budget action film starring Ryan Gosling, Ana de Armas, Billy Bob Thornton, and Chris Evans. July 15 in theaters and July 22 on Netflix.

9. Everything Everywhere All At Once 4K and Blu-ray- The year’s best movie hits home video on July 5. See it if you haven’t yet.

10. Nope- Jordan Peele returns with what will surely be another twisty sci-fi/horror film. July 22.
