Given that today is Disney+ Day, it felt appropriate to whip up a list devoted to the ever growing streaming service. Below I have listed my 10 favorite Disney+ releases as of today. Truth be told, it was tough to narrow it down to 10 as there are numerous noteworthy documentaries, shorts, films, animated series and nature specials to choose from. Considering Disney+ has only been around close to 3 years, there’s already a wealth of recommended exclusive releases to choose from. I’m sure the future will be even brighter. On with the list (which is in no specific order)!

2020 was a rough year for cinema. Not only were theaters closed for a majority of the year due to the pandemic, but many films were pushed to 2021. You really had to know where to look for good films this past year due to strange release schedules, abrupt VOD releases and movies going straight to streaming services (of which there are many now). This list might be entirely pointless given that some of these movies may be delayed until 2021. Then again, some of these movies might/will actually come out in theaters or via streaming. After a year full of mega-hits, epic franchise conclusions, indie gems, and, well, a whole lot of high grossing Disney films, 2020 looks to be a rather strange year at the movies. With a few possible exceptions, there could very well be zero billion dollar grossing films this year. It seems the studios are saving their major titles for 2021 and beyond. Of course, it’s quite possible movies will overperform at the box office or that movies will come from out of nowhere to surprise audiences.
