10 Random Recommendations Part 32

10 more recommendations for DVDCorner readers.

1. Light And Magic- Why isn’t this documentary series directed by Lawrence Kasdan getting more press? Not only is it one of the best shows of the year, but it’s a truly insightful series about the history of ILM and visual effects, cinema’s evolution, the career of George Lucas and the numerous visual effects artists who made so many of the iconic movie scenes that will forever live in our hearts.

2. Neighbor- This jam band on the rise has been a frequent listen for me as of late. Their first album isn’t out at this juncture, but you can check out their electric live shows on YouTube and Nugs.

3. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles- Shredder’s Revenge- Anyone with a nostalgia for the old TMNT arcade and NES games will get a kick out of this new original game which is very much a throwback to the TMNT games of old.

4. Pixie And The Partygrass Boys- This up and coming band is primarily a bluegrass outfit, but they tend to mix genres to fun results. The ‘Snake Creek’ album is a good starting point.

5. Marvel Assembled- If you love Marvel and are eager to see more about the production of the films and TV shows, scope out this documentary series. Truth be told, I’ve been enjoying the Marvel Assembled episodes more than some of the recent movies and shows themselves. Highly recommend the ‘Moon Knight’ and ‘Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings’ episodes.

6. Primal Season 2- I’ve mentioned this adult animated series in the past, but now that season 2 is currently airing, it needs to be mentioned again. So far season 2 is just as excellent as the first. Genndy Tartakovsky is truly an animation master at this point.

7. RiffTrax: The Game- Have you ever wanted to write your own riffs to goofy movies and movie short scenes? Now you can with the hilarious RiffTrax: The Game (which now has a matchmaking lobby!). Available on Steam, Xbox One, PS4 and Nintendo Switch.

8. Beavis And Butt-Head- The adult animated series returns with a brand new season on Paramount+. As of this moment the first 2 episodes are up and I’m happy to report it’s just as good as it ever was.

9. Jack In The Box Spicy Chicken Strips-  I don’t like extremely spicy food, but thankfully, these new chicken strips have just the right amount of spice. Pair it with the recent tasty Good Good Sauce and you’ll have yourself a delicious fast food meal.

10. Rise Of The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Movie- You don’t have to be a fan of the animated series to enjoy this  action-packed feature-length time travel adventure story. Available on Netflix.
