After a year that was light in cinema, 2021 had plenty to offer. There were musicals, westerns, comic films, dramas, horror films, and everything in between. Prior to the release of “Halloween Kills” (out today in theaters and on Peacock), I decided to rewatch all of the Halloween movies. I had previously ranked the movies through the Rob Zombie ones 5 years ago, but I felt it was time for an update to include the latest 2 movies. Of course, there’s some ranking shuffling as well. October is arguably the busiest month in entertainment in 2 years. In fact, I could have easily made a top 30 this month, but I’m sticking to the usual top 10 list. There’s a little bit of everything this month with new horror offerings, huge movie releases, new albums and reissues, exciting new video games, along with new shows and new seasons of TV series.
