Most Anticipated Films Of 2023

The new year is upon us and 2023’s cinematic lineup looks to be promising. Choosing just 10 was tough (especially since unknown titles are sure to be scheduled at a later date), but I’m happy with my picks here. On with the list!

1. Indiana Jones And The Dial Of Destiny- It’s a little strange to see an Indy movie without George Lucas and Steven Spielberg involved, but I have the utmost faith in James Mangold to deliver one heck of a send-off for Harrison Ford.

2. Dune Part 2- Part 1 was a masterpiece so I can only imagine the deeper and more eventful part 2 will be something to behold.

3. True Love- Gareth Edwards is one of my favorite filmmakers around so it will be interesting to see what he cooks up with this original story.

4. How Do You Live- Hayao Miyazaki is back again. What more needs to be said?

5. Killers Of The Flower Moon- Martin Scorsese’s big budget, big name cast epic will surely be one of the year’s most talked about films.

6. Barbie- This looks peculiar as can be, but I’m down to see what Greta Gerwig does with this IP.

7. The Flash- I could have picked any number of comic book movies this year but something tells me this one will be something special given how many characters will be featured in this one (multiple Batmans and the like).

8. Untitled Godzilla Film- It’s been a long 7 year wait since the superb “Shin Godzilla,” but we’re finally getting a new Japanese Godzilla film. What will it look like and what will it be about? Can’t wait to find out.

9. Mission: Impossible- Dead Reckoning Part 1- If the last and best film in the series (“Mission: Impossible- Fallout”) is any indication, this series will continue to one up itself.

10. Evil Dead Rise- An Ash-less Evil Dead movie set in L.A.? I have no idea what to expect but I’m certainly game.
