A24 is having a banner year in 2022 with the hit horror film “X,” the acclaimed “Marcel The Shell With Shoes On,” and, of course, the current film of the year in my opinion, “Everything Everywhere All At Once.” Given that the indie studio has put out some of the most original and best movies in its 9 years of existence, I thought I’d put together a list of the 10 most underrated A24 films (in no particular order). We all know about their modern classics like “Midsommar,” “Moonlight,” “Uncut Gems,” “Room,” “Ex Machina,” and “The Disaster Artist” so those won’t be included here.
The holidays are approaching and studios are continuing to release more and more films, shows, albums, home video releases, what have you. November looks to be yet another stacked month full of entertainment so allow me to single out 10 of the most exciting releases.
Although Christmas, Hanukkah, and holiday shopping will be a lot different this year amidst a pandemic, people across the globe will still be shopping for the holidays in stores or online on Black Friday, Cyber Monday, Small Business Saturday, or any day really. 2019 was a bit of an odd year at the movies. Some hyped releases fell flat, a lot of movies were (in my humble opinion) overrated, there were a fair share of crushing disappointments, numerous good movies, and a smattering of gems.
