2019 was a bit of an odd year at the movies. Some hyped releases fell flat, a lot of movies were (in my humble opinion) overrated, there were a fair share of crushing disappointments, numerous good movies, and a smattering of gems. Really, it just felt all over the place from a cinematic perspective (moreso than usual).
