Top 10 Video Games

I thought I would do something a bit different with this week’s top 10 list. Instead of it involving movies or TV shows, this list will be centered around my personal favorite video games. Now, before you start shouting about why I left out a Zelda or Final Fantasy game, I must state that these are the games that mean the most to me. They are the games I have logged the most hours into and they are the games that have stuck with me. On with the list! Continue reading

DVDCorner’s Ranking Of The Pixar Films

With “Finding Dory” inching towards release, it’s time for me to finally do a ranking of all 16 Pixar films. Believe it or not, ranking the top 8 was harder than it looked as I treasure all of those films dearly. Now, it’s possible I will change my mind down the line, but for now, this is my ranking. Cinema 69: From Victory To Wonderland Is Now Available!

Greetings everyone! I thought I’d take a moment to let you all know about a new book written by a former DVDCorner writer named D.M. Anderson. At its heart, “Cinema 69: From Victory To Wonderland” is a personal and nostalgic non-fiction book about a now defunct Milwaukie, Oregon movie theater, but it’s also about childhood, change, a love of film, and cherished memories. If you’re a long time Portland area resident (or a Milwaukie resident for that matter), this book will certainly hit home. However, you don’t have to live in Oregon to connect with the novel’s identifiable true life stories and tales of cinematic bliss.
The indie novel is available to purchase on Amazon here: http://www.amazon.com/Cinema-69-Wonderland-D-M-Anderson/dp/1530775620?ie=UTF8&keywords=cinema%2069&qid=1464663806&ref_=sr_1_1&s=books&sr=1-1
It is available as a paperback for $12.99 or through Kindle for $4.99.
10 Random Recommendations Part 2

Back in February, I posted a list of 10 random recommendations (link here: https://dvdcorner.net/2016/02/10/10-random-recommendations/) of things I treasure and I figured it was time for a follow-up. Much like last time, this list covers a variety of things such as YouTube series, movies, a podcast, comic books, a soda, a board game, a TV series and an album. I simply want to get the word out about this stuff so that others can enjoy it as much as I have. So, without further adieu… Continue reading
DVDCorner’s Ranking Of The TMNT Films

As a lifelong TMNT fan, my anticipation for “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows” is growing by the day. While I’m not expecting it to be a masterpiece by any means, I am thrilled to finally see Krang, Bebop, and Rocksteady on the big screen at long last. Since I have Turtles on the brain, it should come as no surprise that this week’s ranking/list is devoted to the theatrical films of the heroes in a half shell. On with the list! Continue reading
Ranking The X-Men Universe Films

With “X-Men: Apocalypse” a few days, it should come as no surprise that this week’s list is devoted to the “X-Men” franchise. Below you will find my personal ranking of the “X-Men” universe films (“Deadpool” included). On with the ranking! Continue reading
DVDCorner’s Ranking Of The Friday The 13th Films

With today being Friday The 13th, I thought I would devote a list to one of my all-time favorite franchises. I am, of course, talking about the Friday The 13th series. Now, ordering these films has always been a tough task for me as my ranking is always in flux (aside from the bottom 2). While I’m sure my ranking will change down the line, this is how I’m ranking it today. So, without further adieu, on with the list! Continue reading
