The Moody Blues-Threshhold Of A Dream-Live At The Isle Of Wight Festival
The Moody Blues, known for their cosmic rock abilities, releases this great blu-ray disc of their full concert at the Isle Of Wight Festival of 1970. Known as Britain’s Woodstock”, the Isle Of Wight Festival had some of the greatest groups in rock history perform on its outdoor stage, including The Who, Jethro Tull, Jimi Hendrix (his last performance) and The Moodys.
Fans of the group will enjoy seeing the Moodys in their prime; and will also revisit the festival through recent interviews with four of the founding members. Continue reading
Alice In Wonderland Blu-Ray
“Alice In Wonderland” is another collaboration between Disney and director Tim Burton. Burton has taken the familiar “Alice” story, updated it, and made Alice 19 years old, on the verge of womanhood in Victorian England. References to Alice’s first visit are everywhere in the film, from the opening sequence, to references by the Mad Hatter (Johnny Depp)and others. Some characters even insist that this Alice is the wrong Alice. Continue reading

Invictus Blu-Ray
“Invictus” is a film that approaches the same story on many different levels. On the surface, Clint Eastwood’s film about SOuth Africa winning the World Cup in Rugby soon after his release can be viewed simply as a good sports film. However, the film has many different layers of the same issue ; how South Africa dealt with sudden change in government with the election of Nelson Mandela as its first black president. Morgan Freeman does an outstanding job as Mandela, actually spending time with the South African leader in studying for his part.
