Due to the strikes and numerous films being delayed until 2025, 2024’s slate was relatively light. A lot of the high profile films didn’t pan out, but there were a number of indie and small budget films that made a splash. As per usual, there are a handful of films I have yet to see, but I will update the list accordingly if need be. On with the list!
January is traditionally a slow month for the entertainment world, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t some intriguing releases to kick off the new year.
It’s been a rather lousy year for TV and streaming series due to the industry strikes of 2023. Luckily, 2025 is looking stacked. With that said, 2024 still had some pleasant surprises, continuations, originals, and franchise turnarounds. Scope out my 10 favorites of the year below.
As 2024 comes to a close, it’s time to look forward to a bigger and hopefully better year at the cinema. As always there will undoubtedly be under the radar indie films and other films not yet announced for release, but at this juncture, these are the 10 that have caught my eye the most.

If you want to keep your mind off the Presidential race or need a break from family get-togethers at Thanksgiving, you’ll be happy to know there are plenty of entertainment/art options in November in various mediums. While there’s certainly more that could have made the list, the 10 listed here are the most noteworthy to me.
October is so packed with entertainment that it was a struggle to make this list as so much was left out! Naturally, there’s a lot of horror this month with Halloween around the corner, but there’s also major video game releases, Awards contenders, and prestige TV. There’s something for everyone really.
