With “Daredevil: Born Again” nearing release (March 4th!), it’s about time for an updated ranking of the MCU Series. Just to note, the Netflix Marvel series are not included here otherwise “Daredevil” would be number 1 without question. On with the list!
With “Captain America: Brave New World” now in theaters, it’s time for an updated ranking of the MCU films. It’s been 5 years since the last ranking so it felt like a good time for a revision. Some films have moved spots and there were some tough choices to be made in the middle of the list. It is quite likely my choices won’t align with others, but that’s what makes these lists fun.
8 years ago I made a list of my Top 10 Romantic Movies (link here: https://dvdcorner.net/2017/02/12/top-10-romantic-movies/). With Valentine’s Day approaching, it felt like an appropriate time to follow up that list with 10 more gems. Not all of these films have happy endings. Some are bittersweet, some have more going on than just romance, and some are just downright weird. Read on to see my picks!
With the Valentine’s Day themed “Heart Eyes” due out in mere days, I thought I would whip up a new list dedicated to holiday themed slasher films. For the record, I didn’t count films like “Trick ‘r Treat” (not a true slasher) or “Friday The 13th” (not a true holiday).
After a sleepy January, things are definitely heating up in the entertainment world in February with big TV, film, and video game releases. Check out the list below to find out what’s coming soon.
In the peak TV era (and even before that), it is not uncommon for series to come and go. Some are lost with time, some vanish after airing, some end too soon and others never received the audience they so richly deserved. I wanted to spotlight 10 underrated series that are absolutely worth seeking if you have yet to watch them. On with the list!
It’s been about 7 years since my first round of Criterion Collection recommendations (link here: https://dvdcorner.net/2018/07/06/10-criterion-recommendations/) and since then the catalogue has grown to 1200 plus titles. If you’re looking to pick up some discs, it can be overwhelming to decide what to get. As such, I thought I would provide 10 more recommendations.
Due to the strikes and numerous films being delayed until 2025, 2024’s slate was relatively light. A lot of the high profile films didn’t pan out, but there were a number of indie and small budget films that made a splash. As per usual, there are a handful of films I have yet to see, but I will update the list accordingly if need be. On with the list!
January is traditionally a slow month for the entertainment world, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t some intriguing releases to kick off the new year.
