What’s Being Released In September 2020?
September looks to be a very busy month in the entertainment world with major video games being released, new and returning shows on streaming and TV, major motion pictures getting unusual releases, and even some high profile albums hitting shelves. Below I have singled out 10 releases that are catching my eye the most. Of course, there are other titles like “Antebellum,” “Coastal Elite,” “Woke,” and so on that look intriguing as well, but they just missed the cut.
- Marvel’s Avengers- Sure, many video games have been delayed, but the hotly anticipated Square Enix game IS coming Sept. 4 to Xbox One, PC and PS4.
- Mulan- On Sept. 4, Disney could very well change the game with their release of Mulan on a Disney+ premiere platform for $30. If this is a massive hit and Disney greatly benefits financially, this could open up a whole new release platform for Disney and potentially the film industry.
- Fargo- After a lengthy delay, the Chris Rock starring fourth season is finally set to debut Sept. 27.
- Raised By Wolves- HBOMax’s new sci-fi series from the mind of Ridley Scott has real potential. Sept. 3.
- American Ninja Warrior- I’m not much for reality shows or competition shows, but ANW is an exception. I’m looking forward to seeing the truncated new season. Will someone win it this year? We shall see. Sept. 7
- The Alfred Hitchcock Classics Collection 4K Set- “Psycho,” “Vertigo,” “The Birds,” and “ Rear Window” are all set to be released on 4K Sept. 8. Get pumped.
- Enola Holmes- A potential new film franchise revolving around the sister of Sherlock Holmes? We shall see.
- Ratched- Ryan Murphy produced shows are decidedly very hit-and-miss, but I’m quite curious to see this “One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest” Netflix prequel series about everyone’s favorite villainous nurse. Sept. 18
- We Are Who We Are- Luca Guadagnino makes his way to the small screen with a new HBO series. Sept. 14
- The Chef Show Season 2- I can’t get enough of this show. Jon Favreau and Roy Choi making food and talking about food never gets old. Sept 24.
