10 Recommendations Part 12

Daddy PJ

It’s time for another round of recommendations to keep you entertained in these difficult times. On with the list!

  1. Phish- Sigma Oasis- Last week Phish shocked fandom and dropped a new album out of the blue. The result? Arguably their best work since “The Story Of The Ghost.”

  1. Dave- The surprise TV hit of the year so far has been this comedy about a white Jewish rapper named Lil Dicky.

  1. #MetallicaMondays- One of the things I’ve been doing most during this quarantine is watching concerts. Luckily, one of my favorite bands (Metallica) has been streaming past shows every Monday on YouTube. Having never seen them live personally, it’s great to be able to experience their shows from the comfort of home.

  1. Come To Daddy- Obviously, there hasn’t been a lot of films in 2020, but this was one of the best. It’s a warped movie that is best seen knowing as little as possible.

  1. Star Wars 4Ks- Yes, I just plugged these a few days ago, but I’m doing it again!

  1. What We Do In The Shadows- Season 2 is fast approaching so why not catch up on this hilarious horror-comedy if you haven’t done so already?

  1. Onward- In an unprecedented move, Disney+ is already streaming Pixar’s heartwarming “Onward” which had just been released in theaters Feb. 21.

  1. Pearl Jam- Gigaton- One of the best rock bands of the past 30 years has released a stellar new album.

  1. Target Sale- Yes, I know this is a time sensitive inclusion, but Target is currently having a Buy 2 Get 1 Free Sale on Blu-rays, DVDs and 4Ks. They do tend to have this sale a few times a year so keep an eye out for it in the future as well. It’s a great way to bulk up your collection and pick up titles you have been wanting.

  1. Inside No. 9- One of the best shows that gets little no press in the U.S. is the endlessly clever British anthology series “Inside No. 9.” You never know what you will get with each episode which makes it all the more rewarding. Currently, you can watch it via BritBox. Sadly, there are no home video releases thus far in the U.S.
