10 More Recommended Horror Films

With Halloween two days away it’s only right that today’s list is devoted to horror films. I’ve done several horror film centric lists in the past, but I’ve got a new round of horror film recommendations for you (in no particular order).

1. The Stepfather (1987)- Avoid the remake and scope out this chilling psychological horror film with an incredible performance by Terry O’Quinn.

2. Butterfly Kisses- An eerie found footage movie within a movie within a movie within a movie.

3. The Rental- You’ll never want to get an airbnb after seeing this.

4. Caveat- Damian McCarthy is best known for “Oddity” and “Hokum,” but his first film “Caveat” is a deeply weird and creepy original.

5. Haunt Season- I love films about haunted attractions and this unknown indie ranks among the best.

6. Creep- A perfect found footage horror-comedy. The sequel “Creep 2” is just as good if not better. Skip “The Creep Tapes” though.

7. The Bay- Barry Levinson veered off his usual path to make this nasty found footage film.

8. Red Rooms- A haunting and deeply disturbing psychological horror film.

9. Honeymoon- The less you know going in the better this obscure gem will be.

10. Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum- One of the scariest films ever made.
