What’s Being Released In September 2026?

Before the hectic October through December entertainment season, we get a fairly low-key September. Of course, there’s still plenty to look forward to still across all mediums. Read on to see what’s in store. 

1. NFL 2026-2027 Season- The wait is almost over. NFL regular season resumes Sept. 9th. #GoNiners.

2. The Gentlemen Season 2- Guy Ritchie’s surprise gem is back for a second season Sept. 3rd on Netflix.

3. Fall 2: Deadpoint- The first installment was a terrifying and anxiety inducing thriller. I fully expect the sequel to follow suit. Sept. 2nd in theaters. 

4. Resident Evil- Zach Cregger’s take on the beloved horror video game franchise has been a bit controversial with fans, but I’m eager to see what the horror auteur brings to the table. Sept. 18th in theaters.

5. Halloween: The Game- The hotly anticipated survival horror game releases just in time for the Halloween season. Sept. 8th on Xbox Series S/X, Playstation 5 and PC.

6. Neagley- The “Reacher” spin-off series hits Prime Video Sept. 16th.

7. Beck: Ride Lonesome- It’s been a long 7 year wait, but Beck is finally back with a new record Sept. 18th. On digital platforms and physical media.

8. Onslaught- Adam Wingard’s latest film is set in the same universe as the criminally underrated “The Guest.” What more needs to be said? Sept. 4th in theaters. 

9. NHL 2026-2027 Season- NFL isn’t the only pro sport returning in September as hockey season begins Sept. 29th. #GoSharks 

10. Dune: Awakening- Previously only available on PC, “Dune: Awakening” releases Sept. 22nd on Xbox Series S and Playstation 5 with a new single player mode. The perfect way to kill time before “Dune: Part Three.”
