Ranking The 10 Jackass Films

With “Jackass: Best And Last” now in theaters, the Jackass franchise has come to close. What better way to pay tribute to the hilarious franchise than to rank all 10 films which includes the Bad Grandpa and .5 installments. Here we go.
1. Jackass: The Movie- Not only is the first entry the funniest, but it’s the cream of the crop in terms of the Jackass films.
2. Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa- This narrative/hidden camera spin-off was both hilarious and heartfelt. Now that the Jackass series is over, I’m hoping that we get more Jackass Presents films like this in the future.
3. Jackass 2- A worthy sequel that delivers a bundle of laughs.
4. Jackass 3.5- The best of the .5 entries and better than “Jackass 3” thanks to hilarious set stories and memorable segments that should have been in “Jackass 3.”
5. Jackass Forever- Coming out of the pandemic, this fourth film’s dumb fun was exactly what was needed. Danger Ehren is the MVP here, but it was nice to see fresh faces like Poopies and Zach Holmes as well.
6. Bad Grandpa .5- A perfect companion piece to ‘Bad Grandpa.’ It’s essentially a documentary mixed with deleted scenes.
7. Jackass 4.5- There’s always memorable cutting room floor footage and this film is evidence of that. It was especially nice to see Rachel Wolfson’s scenes here.
8. Jackass 3- The 3D gimmick ages the film and this one is perhaps too gross for its own good, but there’s still plenty of laughs to be had here.
9. Jackass: Best And Last- A funny and moving farewell, but it feels rushed. While the film’s use of clips from the shows and films is fitting for the finale, I wish there was more new material. Maybe there’s a .5 in the works?
10. Jackass 2.5- For the most part, it’s easy to see why much of the footage here was cut, but the last 20 minutes is a laugh riot. This may be ranked last, but there’s no such thing as a bad Jackass film. It’s nothing if not a consistent franchise.
