10 Most Anticipated 2026 San Diego Comic-Con Panels

SDCC might not have the same impact it once had, but there’s still bound to be big news across multiple mediums. Below I have highlighted the 10 most promising looking panels from this year’s big convention.

1. Marvel Studios- Whenever Marvel Studios attends SDCC something big tends to happen. An “Avengers: Doomsday” spotlight seems inevitable, but I’d be shocked if we didn’t get some new film and or TV reveals as well.

2. Brad Bird: My Cinematic Journey- Of all the films coming this fall, Brad Bird’s new animated feature “Ray Gunn” is among the most intriguing. Hopefully we get a sneak peek soon.

3. Spaceballs: The Comic-Con Panel- Although it’s hard not to be skeptical about “Spaceballs: The New One,” I’m super curious to see how this turns out. If nothing else, it will be great to see Rick Moranis again.

4. Prime Video: Blade Runner 2099 and The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power- I’m down for more details about the new season of ‘Rings of Power,’ but I listed this particular panel as I am eager to learn more about the forthcoming “Blade Runner 2099” series. It’s exciting to see this franchise continue on as there’s a wealth of storytelling possibilities.

5. Star Trek Universe- Outside of future “Star Trek: Strange New Worlds” seasons (which will undoubtedly be what this panel is about), we have no idea what’s in store for the future of “Star Trek.” We might not hear any news, but then again, we might.

6. Apple TV Panel- From “Matchbox The Movie” to one of the year’s best shows in “Widow’s Bay,” Apple TV looks to have a big lineup in store. 

7. Meet The New Class Of Carrie- Do we need another “Carrie”? Not really, but with Mike Flanagan creating this new series, it’s hard not to get intrigued.

8. Toys That Made Us: Beloved Blunders- The panel is about toy line duds, but will we finally learn about when and where the new seasons are coming out?

9. Batman: Knightfall Part 1: Knightfall- It’s been a minute since the last DC animated film, but we’re about to get a new 3 part film based on the classic comic series. 

10. DC’s Absolute Universe- It wouldn’t be a Comic-Con without comic books. DC’s Absolute Universe is arguably one of the hottest things in the comic book industry and this panel should have a plethora of news about the ongoing event.
