Art Of Coloring: Star Wars: The Mandalorian And Grogu Review

If you love Star Wars AND adult coloring books, this is for you.

“Art Of Coloring: Star Wars: The Mandalorian And Gorgu” (AKA “Art Of Coloring: Star Wars: The Mandalorian And Grogu: 100 Images To Inspire Creativity” if you need an even longer title) is a double-sided paged adult coloring book that is now available from Random House Worlds just in time for the forthcoming release of “The Mandalorian And Grogu” feature film. The coloring book is comprised of over 100 images from both “The Mandalorian” series and “The Mandalorian And Grogu” film. In case you’re wondering, there are no movie spoilers to be had here. The pictures are all familiar images from trailers and press material.

So what can you expect to find within these pages? Quite a lot. The book kicks off with character shots and scene depictions (some of which are two-page spreads) from “The Mandalorian.” Obviously a majority of the images are dedicated to the two titular characters, but expect to see Ahsoka, The Armorer and even Luke Skywalker here. In addition, there are various patterns scattered about the entire coloring book featuring everything from hundreds of small images of Grogu in various poses or various trooper helmets.

After that section ends, “The Mandalorian And Grogu” section begins. Again, there are more character shots of everyone from Zeb to the Anzellans, more patterns, and more two-page images (including one of Rotta the Hutt in an arena with a giant blade). The book closes out with some poster like images of the two main characters accompanied by words/quotes (or titles cards) like the iconic “This is the way.”

Since the Covid-19 pandemic, adult coloring books have really taken off. Coloring books were traditionally a children’s activity, but now adults have gotten in on the fun with elaborate books dedicated to everything from “Die Hard” to horror movies. It’s a no-brainer that we’d see one dedicated to “The Mandalorian And Grogu” as promos and merchandise are starting to release everywhere you look. If you’re into the adult coloring book world, there’s plenty of fun to be had here whether you’re coloring wild patterns, trying to recreate the colors of a specific scene or merely just adore Grogu and want to color anything involving the beloved character.
