What’s Being Released In May 2026?

May kicks off the summer entertainment season and it’s off to a big start as there are major releases across every medium. Read on to find out what’s in store.

1. The Mandalorian And Grogu- The wait is almost over. Star Wars returns to the big screen May 22nd only in theaters. 

2. 007 First Light- It’s been 14 years since the last James Bond game, but the spy is finally getting a brand new original game from IO Interactive. May 27th on Xbox Series S/X, PS5, Nintendo Switch 2 and Windows.

3. The Punisher: One Last Kill- Marvel specials are back and this time it’s centered around Jon Bernthal’s Punisher. May 12th on Disney+.

4. Mortal Kombat 2- The sequel to the surprisingly enjoyable 2021 film hits theaters May 8th.

5. Spider-Noir- Nic Cage in a Spider-Man Noir TV series? I’m sold. May 25th on MGM+ and May 27th on Prime Video.

6. Lego Batman: Legacy Of The Dark Knight- This new Lego Batman video game looks to be an ambitious action-adventure paying homage to all manner of eras of the Caped Crusader. May 22nd on Xbox Series S/X, PS5, Nintendo Switch 2 and Windows. 

7. Hokum- If you dug “Caveat” and or “Oddity,” Damian McCarthy is back with a new horror film. May 1st in theaters. 

8. Mixtape- This new Annapurna Interactive coming-of-age narrative adventure video game looks like a nice departure from the usual genres. May 7th on Xbox Series S/X, PS5, Nintendo Switch 2 and Windows.

9. Dutton Ranch- Beth and Rip are back in the spin-off/sequel to “Yellowstone.” May 15th on Paramount+.

10. Backrooms- The creepypasta sci-fi horror tale comes to life in this new A24 film. May 29th in theaters.
