Top 5 Jason Statham Movies

With “The Beekeeper” in theaters this weekend, it felt like an appropriate time to look back at the filmography of Jason Statham. Below I have listed my personal top 5 Jason Statham movies. Feel free to chime in with your own.

1. Lock, Stock And Two Smoking Barrels- Statham’s first and still best film. It was a pioneering British indie crime comedy film that launched the career of both Statham and Guy Ritchie.

2. Snatch- Guy Ritchie’s follow-up to ‘Lock’ is a hilarious and star-studded crime film.

3. Wrath Of Man- Can I help it if Statham is at his best with Guy Ritchie? Statham showed real range here in this VERY dark crime movie.

4. Furious 7- Statham has become a staple of the Fast and Furious franchise and this is easily the best installment that prominently features the action star. “Fast And Furious Presents: Hobbs And Shaw” is a fun action flick too though.

5. The Italian Job- The 5th spot could have gone to several films like “The Transporter,” “Ghosts Of Mars,” or “Spy,” but this highly entertaining remake gets the nod.

  1. Speaking of Jason S., do you remember his very short appearance in the beginning of Collateral (2004)? There were fans believing that Statham played his character from The Transporter in that scene with Tom Cruise.
