10 Most Anticipated 2024 Films

2024 looks to be a rather odd year for the movie industry. The recent strikes have delayed many releases and less films are currently scheduled for release. Moreover, there’s a great uncertainty about the box office this year. With all of that said, there is plenty to look forward to still with more titles sure to be announced later on (especially Award season films). On with the list!

1. Dune: Part 2- Can Denis Villenueve stick the landing and give Frank Herbert’s brilliant novel the adaptation it deserves? We’ll find out in March.

2. Deadpool 3- Deadpool is about to make his long-awaited MCU debut. If the rumors are any indication, we’re in for one big movie that could very well turn things around for the MCU.

3. Godzilla x Kong: New Empire- “Godzilla Vs. Kong” was a fun and weird versus film and this sequel looks to follow suit.

4. Kingdom Of The Planet Of The Apes- After the deeply underrated and excellent recent trilogy, a new trilogy is set to start in the Planet of the Apes franchise. 

5. Horizon: An American Saga- Chapters 1 and 2- As someone who has long been an advocate for more western films, it’s a joy to see Kevin Costner giving us not one but two westerns! I’m not sure what to expect from this epic, but I’m very curious to see what Costner’s ambitious original saga is all about.

6. Untitled Karate Kid Movie- Jackie Chan and Ralph Macchio together in a new Karate Kid movie? That alone sells this.

7. Beetlejuice 2- Making a sequel to a movie that came out a long time ago is always a gamble, but who doesn’t want to see Michael Keaton reteaming with Tim Burton?

8. Borderlands- Hollywood is slowly starting to figure out how to do video game adaptations. Will Eli Roth knock this one out of the park?

9. Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga- The trailer was a bit underwhelming, but in George Miller we trust. His Mad Max franchise has never steered us wrong. 

10. Terrifier 3- 2024 will be a banner year for horror with “Nosferatu,” “Smile 2,” “Saw 11,” “A Quiet Place: Day One,” “The Strangers: Chapter 1,” and “Wolf Man” all scheduled for release. Truthfully, any one of those could have taken this 10th spot, but at the end of the day, I want to see what an Art The Clown Christmas movie looks like.
