What’s Being Released In February 2022?

I took 2 months off this ongoing feature after being slammed with review material, but I’m back now with a look at February’s offerings. There’s something for everyone this month in the world of movies, TV series, video games, music and sports. On with the list!

1. Jackass Forever- The long awaited fourth installment in the hilarious Jackass franchise is hitting theaters Feb. 4 (Feb. 3rd for advanced showings).

2. Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2022)- The Chainsaw sequels don’t have a great track record (to say the least), but will this new entry headed to Netflix Feb. 18 break the mold? 

3. Kimi- A new Steven Soderbergh directed film on HBOMax Feb. 10. Need I say more? 

4. Bigbug- Cult film director Jean-Pierre Jeunet returns with a new sci-fi film set to be released on Netflix Feb. 11

5. Avril Lavigne- Love Sux- The Canadian musician returns to her pop-punk roots with her newest album. Feb. 25 on all music platforms.

6. Elden Ring- The much hyped fantasy action RPG is finally being released on Feb. 25 on PC, Xbox One and Series S/X and PS4 and 5.

7. The Eternals 4K- The bold, fresh, underrated and unfairly criticized MCU film makes its way to 4K, Blu-ray and DVD on Feb. 15.

8. Super Bowl LVI- With the Bucs and Packers out, this year’s Super Bowl is already looking to be promising. Who will make it to the big game? Niners? Bengals? Chiefs? Rams? That question will be answered on Sunday before the SB on Feb. 13.

9. Raised By Wolves Season 2- Season 1 turned out to be an unexpected surprise, but the events that transpired in season finale had me a bit concerned about the show’s future. We’ll see how it all pans out on Feb. 3 on HBOMax.

10. Studio 666- A Foo Fighters horror film could go either way, but I’m still on board to check it out. Feb. 25 in theaters.
