What’s Being Released In February 2021?
February looks to be pretty low key which is pretty much average for Feb. It seems a lot of major releases are being planned for next month (March) instead. Now, that doesn’t mean there aren’t things to look forward to. There are new films, shows, albums, Blu-rays and, yes, even a sporting event to look forward to. On with the list!
1. Superman and Lois- Superman and Lois return to the small screen (and CW) on Feb. 23. It will be interesting to see how this series explores the characters in a new fashion as parents all while connecting to the Arrowverse at large.
2. Malcolm and Marie- The buzzed about drama starring Zendaya and John David Washington hits Netflix Feb. 5.
3. Super Bowl 55- The year’s biggest sporting event in the U.S. takes place Feb. 7. No, I will not use the roman numeral!
4. Willy’s Wonderland- Nicolas Cage stars in this wild looking “Five Nights At Freddy’s” esque horror film out Feb. 12
5. Pump Up The Volume- The 90’s teen classic finally gets a hi-def release from Warner Archive. Available Feb. 23
6. Foo Fighters- Medicine At Midnight- One of the best modern rock bands returns with their 10th album. Feb. 5
7. Clarice- Does the world need another show set in the “Silence of the Lambs” universe? I don’t know, but I’m intrigued nonetheless. Feb. 11.
8. The United States Vs. Billie Holiday- The new Lee Daniels bio drama hits Hulu Feb. 26.
9. Judas And The Black Messiah- This late entry to the Award season is gaining a lot of momentum lately. The bio drama follows Illinois Black Panther Party Chairman Fred Hampton in the 60’s. Feb. 12 on HBOMax
10. Host Blu-ray- 2020’s best horror film (which was shot entirely during quarantine). Feb. 2 on home video.
