You Again Blu-Ray

“You Again” is a rather tame comedy built around two generations of feuding females.

Starring a good cast of Kristin Bell, Odette Yustman, Jamie Lee Curtis and Sigourney Weaver, this rather shallow tale of rivalry does hit a few high comedy marks, with the help of the hottest female comedian in show business these days, 88 year old Betty White.  Notice how she is centered on the cover of the disc cover. The film has a lot of very predictable one upmanship gags throughout without being too mean spirited but White and also Cloris Leachman are the main reasons for watching this film.

The blu-ray comes complete with a dvd copy, plus a lot of deleted scenes(mostly Betty’s scenes), a follow the director feature, cast interviews and a staged cast fight.  Like the film, the extras are not to be taken too seriously.

This Touchstone release might be just the thing for a date film or a quiet night with the Mrs. type of evening.  Its rated PG so its pretty safe for family fare but it does show some of mean spirited stuff kids do to each other in school, which is never a good idea.  Watch it for Betty and Cloris; enough said.
