Battle For Incheon: Operation Chromite Is Now Available On Blu-ray And DVD
One of CJ Entertainment’s latest home video releases is a 2016 South Korean film titled “Battle For Incheon: Operation Chromite.” The Korean War film (which is based on true events) involves General MacArthur (played by Liam Neeson) launching an 8 man mission dubbed X-Ray (led by Lt. Hak-soo Jang). The men are tasked to infiltrate North Korea to gather intelligence and help set-up MacArthur’s surprise battle at Incheon to help save South Korea.
While well paced, don’t expect greatness from “Battle For Incheon: Operation Chromite.” The film takes liberties with real events, contains some truly hokey dialogue, has budgetary limitations during action scenes, and succumbs to Hollywood blockbuster clichés. Still, war film junkies might at least want to give it a look as the subject is not something that has been explored much in cinema.
Presentation: Widescreen 1080p
Audio Track Options: English (a dub) Dolby Digital 5.1, Korean Dolby Digital 5.1, English Dolby Digital 2.0 and Korean Dolby Digital 2.0. It’s best to go with the original language Korean track.
Extras: 6 CJ Entertainment and a making of featurette which contains set footage, story discussions, and interviews.
