Top 5 Weezer Albums

2026 is poised to be a big year for the alternative rock band Weezer. A new single (“Shine Again”) just dropped today, a new album is on the way and a big tour with The Shins and Silversun Pickups is happening later this year. In celebration of one of my favorite bands,
1. Pinkerton- The Blue Album is an undeniable classic, but their sophomore effort “Pinkerton” is even more impressive. From the moment I heard it on Sept. 24th 1996, I knew it was something special. It’s darker, more hard rock, and lyrically more complex. There’s a reason it has become such a cult favorite over the years.
2. Blue Album- Arguably one of the greatest debut rock albums out there. A perfect album from front to start.
3. Everything Will Be Alright In The End- 2014’s deeply underappreciated album was a real return to form for the group. The band has always experimented with styles and sounds and this was no exception particularly with the Futurescope Trilogy.
4. White Album- The other great White Album. Very much a Beach Boys esque California rock record.
5. Hurley (Deluxe Edition)- Truth be told, the 5th spot could have gone to any number of albums like the Green Album, “Ok Human,” or the Red Album. I went with the Deluxe Edition of “Hurley” because it’s a rather overlooked gem with favorites like “Memories,” “Unspoken,” “All My Friends Are Insects,” and the soccer anthem “Represent.”
