10 Most Anticipated Video Games Of 2026

From arcade games to Xbox Series S, video games have always been an important art form to me not unlike film and TV. While I don’t review video games on this site, I do bring them up every now and then (especially in the monthly lists). Today I thought I would draft up my most anticipated games for 2026 in no particular order. It’s possible some of these games could be delayed, but at this moment in time, they are currently slated for release.

1. 007: First Light- To this day “Goldeneye 007” remains my favorite game so it should come as no surprise that I am stoked for a brand new James Bond game at long last.

2. Gears Of War: E-Day- Ever since the original “Gears Of War,” I’ve been a fan of this sci-fi third-person shooter series. Can’t wait to see what this prequel has in store.

3. Halo: Campaign Evolved- The original “Halo” is one of my top 3 gaming experiences of all-time so how could I not be excited for this remake which will offer up new material?

4. Star Wars: Galactic Racer- I’m always on board for a Star Wars racing game.

5. Fable- I’m not much of an RPG guy, but this new installment of the franchise caught my eye. It doesn’t hurt that Richard Ayoade is involved either.

6. Mixtape- This coming-of-age adventure game looks mighty intriguing.

7. Halloween- I have no interest in the multiplayer aspect, but the single-player mode is ripe with potential.

8. Starship Troopers: Ultimate Bug War!- Sure, “Helldivers 2” is a blast, but it’s time for a legitimate “Starship Troopers” game.

9. Mouse: P.I. For Hire- Who knows how this game will turn out, but visually speaking this is one of the most creative looking games. Love the retro cartoon style.

10. Grand Theft Auto VI- Will it be delayed again? Who knows, but it goes without saying that this is the most hyped game to come this year.
