What’s Being Released In January 2026?

Traditionally January is a slow month in the entertainment world, but this January is surprisingly stacked (especially when it comes to TV). Read on to find out what’s coming up.
1. Star Trek: Starfleet Academy- The promotional material doesn’t inspire a lot of confidence, but hopefully this new Trek series will be a nice surprise. Jan. 15th on Paramount+.
2. Tron: Ares 4K- Hopefully this underrated sci-fi sequel finds new life on home video Jan. 6th.
3. Primal: Season 3- Genndy Tartakovsky’s superb Adult Swim series returns Jan. 11th!
4. Golden Globes 2026- The 83rd installment of the laidback Awards show airs Jan. 11th on CBS and Paramount+.
5. A Knight Of The 7 Kingdoms- A new “Game Of Thrones” prequel series. Let’s hope it’s better than “House Of The Dragon.” Jan. 18th on HBO and HBO Max.
6. Wonder Man- A new MCU series on the rather obscure character. Jan. 27th on Disney+.
7. Send Help- Sam Raimi is back with a new survival thriller. What more needs to be said? Jan. 30th in theaters.
8. Primate- This rabid ape horror film has been getting a lot of good buzz. Jan. 9th in theaters.
9. Tom Hamilton- I’m Your Vampire- The overlooked rocker has a new album due out Jan. 23rd.
10. Dead Man’s Wire- Bill Skarsgård teams up with Gus Van Sant for this true story based crime film. Jan. 9th in theaters with an expansion on the 16th.
