10 Most Anticipated 2025 San Diego Comic-Con Panels

SDCC is back, but this year looks to be fairly low-key. There’s no MCU panel, no Star Wars panel, and no DCU panel (well, sort of). With that said, there’s still bound to be some big news coming out of the big convention. Below I have listed 10 panels that caught my eye the most. 

1. Sneak Peek: Lucas Museum Of Narrative Art- It’s hard to believe, but this panel will mark the first appearance of George Lucas at SDCC. Having heard about this epic museum for years now, I am excited to see what it’s all about. And yes, from what I know, the Museum will apparently be featuring a ton of “Star Wars” art and props.

2. Peacemaker Sneak Peek And Panel- If there’s any panel where we might get a BIG surprise, it’s this one (especially with James Gunn slated to appear). Maybe we’ll get surprise footage from “Lanterns” or “Supergirl”?

3. Image Comics: Brian K. Vaughan- Of all of the current comic book writers, BKV is my favorite. Can’t wait to hear more about his new project “Spectators.”

4. Coyote Vs. Acme- WB had notoriously shelved this film, but Ketchup Entertainment rescued it and is now set to release it in 2026. Hopefully we get a trailer at long last!

5. Tron: Ares- We may not get any surprise reveals with this one, but I’m still putting this here because it’s Tron! Even if the film bombs, I’m just stoked we have a 3rd Tron film coming out after a 15 year wait.

6. Star Trek Universe- As a longtime Trek fan, I am hoping we get a trailer for the forthcoming “Star Trek: Starfleet Academy.” 

7. Sneak Peek: The Toys That Made Us New Episodes- Yes, the beloved documentary series is coming back! If all goes well, this panel will tell us when!

8. Attack Of The Killer Tomatoes: Organic Intelligence- Don’t ask me why, but the resurrection of this franchise intrigues me. I’m deeply curious what this will look like. 

9. Jason Universe: Celebrating 45 Years Of Friday The 13th- The F13 franchise has been dormant for way too long due to legal issues, but it seems like a new era is upon us. Let’s hope this panel sheds some light on the future.

10. An Evening With Kevin Smith- You can’t touch on SDCC without mentioning Kevin Smith. He’s a long time staple of the convention. Plus, I am curious what his next movie will be. Are we finally getting “Mallrats 2”?
