Ranking The I Know What You Did Last Summer Franchise

The ‘Summer’ franchise is back on the big screen with 2025’s “I Know What You Did Last Summer” so you know what that means- it’s time for a new ranking. 

1. I Know What You Did Last Summer (1997)- The 90s may not have been the best period for horror, but this slasher has stood the test of time thanks to a young all-star cast featuring Jennifer Love Hewitt, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Ryan Phillippe, Freddie Prinze Jr. and Johnny Galecki.

2. I Know What You Did Last Summer (2021)- The modernized forgotten Amazon TV series only lasted a single season, but it’s still better than any of the sequels.

3. I Still Know What You Did Last Summer- Not even a change of scenery (The Bahamas) helps this flat sequel, but hey, at least it has Jack Black, John Hawkes, and Jeffrey Combs.

4. I Know What You Did Last Summer (2025)- A bland and poorly written reboot. The new characters are a bore and the use of the legacy characters did not work at all.

5. I’ll Always Know What You Did Last Summer- The MTV style made for home video sequel holds a 0% on Rotten Tomatoes for a reason. It also has an out of place supernatural angle for some reason.
