What’s Being Released In April 2025?

April looks to be the biggest month of the year so far entertainment wise with major theatrical, album, television and video game releases (along with a big convention). Check below to see what’s in store this month

1. The Last Of Us Season 2- After waiting over 2 years, the fantastic post-apoc series returns to HBO April 13th.

2. Doctor Who- Ncuti Gatwa is back as The Doctor April 12th on Disney+.

3. South Of Midnight- This brand new original action-adventure game set in the Deep South is getting major buzz. Will it live up to the hype? We’ll find out April 8th. Available on Windows and Xbox Series S/X. 

4. The Shrouds- Horror legend David Cronenberg is back with a new body horror tale. April 25th in theaters.

5. Star Wars Celebration Japan 2025- It’s been rather quiet on the Star Wars front lately, but we should soon hear more about “The Mandalorian And Grogu,” future TV and game projects, and who knows what else from this convention. April 18-20 (with livestreams on YouTube).

6. Andor Season 2- Speaking of Star Wars, the second and final season of THE best Star Wars TV series to date finally hits Disney+ April 22.

7. Goose: Everything Must Go- The “indie groove” band is back with a brand new album April 25th.

8. Ghost: Skeletά- New Papa, new album. Get pumped. April 25th.

9. Black Mirror- A new round of episodes from the great sci-fi anthology series April 10th on Netflix. 

10. A Minecraft Movie- There’s no denying that “Minecraft” is one of the biggest video games globally, but how will the movie adaptation fare? As someone who doesn’t play the game, it will be curious to see how this one turns out. If nothing else at least Jack Black is in it. April 4th in theaters.
