Top 10 Steven Soderbergh Movies

2025 has been a busy year for director Steven Soderbergh with the forthcoming “Black Bag” and the recently released “Presence.” To honor the legendary filmmaker, I thought I’d make a list of his 10 best movies (in my humble opinion).
1. Sex, Lies, And Videotape- Soderbergh’s debut was a pioneering indie that is still arguably his finest work to date.
2. Ocean’s Eleven- There aren’t a lot of remakes that are superior to the original. This is one of them.
3. Traffic- Soderbergh’s sprawling award-winning ensemble crime saga about the illegal drug trade is near perfect.
4. Contagion- A prophetic and unsettling story about a viral pandemic that was released 9 years prior to the COVID pandemic.
5. Kimi- This 2022 thriller is easily Soderbergh’s best work in the past decade.
6. Out Of Sight- A sexy and stylish Elmore Leonard adaptation.
7. Behind The Candelabra- A superbly acted HBO movie about the life of Liberace.
8. Bubble- A small, strange and deeply underrated indie crime story.
9. Erin Brockovich- Julia Roberts is in peak form in this bio-drama.
10. Let Them All Talk- The best Soderbergh film no one talks about. Worth seeing for the all-star cast alone.
