What’s Being Released In June 2024?
Before July is set to deliver a monster slate of entertainment, June has a fair amount of entertainment aimed at a wide audience. There’s big franchises on the big and small screen, original movies, and even video game events. On with the list!
1. The Acolyte- The latest Star Wars series set in the High Republic era hits Disney+ June 4th with a special 2 episode premiere.
2. Hit Man- Director Richard Linklater returns with this Glen Powell starring comedy loosely based on a true story about an undercover cop posing as a hitman. June 7 on Netflix.
3. House Of The Dragon- The “Game Of Thrones” prequel series returns for a 2nd season June 9th on HBO.
4. Inside Out 2- The beloved Pixar film gets a sequel June 14th only in theaters. This time around Riley experiences some new emotions.
5. Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire 4K- One of the year’s most entertaining flicks hits home video June 11th.
6. King Of Collectibles: The Golden Touch- Anyone with an interest in sports and pop culture memorabilia should check out the 2nd season of this binge worthy Netflix series. June 12th.
7. Summer Games Fest 2024 and Xbox Games Showcase 2024- E3 may be dead, but there’s no shortage of video game events this June with these 2 shows that are expected to deliver huge announcements and news. Summer Games Fest airs June 7th on YouTube and other streaming platforms at 2 PM PST while the Xbox Showcase airs two days later on June 9th at 10 AM PST
8. Horizon: An American Saga- Chapter 1- The first part of Kevin Costner’s epic saga could very well be a bust, but I’m always stoked to see more westerns hit the big screen. June 28th in theaters.
9. Ghost: Rite Here Right Now- The fantastic rock band gets their own big screen movie in this part concert film part scripted story that digs into the band’s ongoing mythology. June 20-23 in theaters as a special engagement.
10. A Quiet Place: Day One- The third entry in the horror franchise is a prequel story. June 27th in theaters.
