What’s Being Released In May 2024?
In the world of entertainment, May is the start of the summer season of entertainment and there’s certainly no shortage of movies, shows, albums and games to get excited about this month. Behold the 10 titles below to see what I’m talking about.
1. Kingdom Of The Planet Of The Apes- A new Apes era begins at last! It’s going to be hard to top the amazing last trilogy though. May 10th in theaters
2. Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga- The marketing has been rather underwhelming, but George Miller has yet to steer (pun intended) us wrong with the Mad Max franchise. May 24th in theaters.
3. Doctor Who- After a lengthy wait, Whovians will finally get to watch Ncuti Gatwa’s debut season as The Doctor. May 10th on Disney+.
4. Guster: Ooh La La- It’s been 5 years since their last album, but the alt. rock band is back with a brand new record May 17th.
5. Tales Of The Empire- Here’s a welcome surprise for Star Wars fans. On May The 4th Be With You, a 6 episode animated series drops on Disney+ that focuses on Morgan Elsbeth and Barriss Offee.
6. Dune: Part 2 4K- As it stands, this is still the best film of 2024. Now you can watch it together with part 1 on 4K starting May 14th.
7. Billie Eilish: Hit Me Hard And Soft- One of the most talented and beloved pop stars will debut her third album May 17th.
8. Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2- The hotly anticipated sequel to “Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice” comes to Xbox Series S/X, Game Pass, and Microsoft May 21st.
9. Let It Be- Beatles fans rejoice! A restored version of the long unavailable 1970 film will be released on Disney+ May 8th.
10. Unfrosted- A Jerry Seinfeld directed movie about the creation of the Pop Tart? I’m sold. May 3rd on Netflix.
