10 Random Recommendations Part 38
It’s been awhile since the last recommendations list. Time for a new one!
1. R.E.M.: Up (25th Anniversary Edition)- Even though R.E.M. hung it up back in 2011, they continue to put out new editions of their albums including this remastered version of the underrated album “Up” that also includes a Live At The Palace 1999 live album.
2. “Monarch: Legacy Of Monsters”- 3 episodes in and this new Monsterverse Apple+ series is proving to be a winner. Not only does it tie-in to the Legendary Godzilla and King Kong films, but it’s introducing new characters and new Kaiju.
3. Beckham- You don’t have to be interested in soccer/football to be engrossed by this documentary series about the life of superstar David Beckham.
4. Dream Scenario- At this juncture this is my favorite movie of the year. Not only is Nicolas Cage in peak form here, but the wild story feels all too relevant in this day and age.
5. Mountain Dew Game Fuel- Citrus Cherry- One of the best Dew flavors is back in stores for a limited time.
6. Squeaky Feet: Cause For Alarm- The up and coming jam band’s debut album does a fine job showcasing the jams you would see in their live performances.
7. Microsoft/Xbox Rewards- For the Xbox gamers out there, this rewards program is highly useful in obtaining free months of Game Pass, gift cards (to restaurants, shops, Xbox and Microsoft), game codes, and even charity donations. Well worth the time and effort.
8. Saw X 4K- I can’t say enough about this 10th installment in the horror franchise. It’s surprising in the best way possible.
9. Scavengers Reign- The best kept secret on TV is this supremely creative Max sci-fi animated series that really transports you to another world.
10. Lynch/Oz- A wonderful collection of visual essays from filmmakers about the relationship between the work of David Lynch and “The Wizard Of Oz.”
