What’s Being Released In October 2023?

October may be the spooky season, but there’s more than just horror offerings in the realms of TV, film, music, and so forth this month. There’s something for everyone.
1. NBA- October is my favorite month for pro sports as you have the 5 major leagues (NBA, NHL, MLB, MLS and NFL) going at once. The 2023-2024 NBA season kicks off Oct. 24.
2. Five Nights At Freddy’s- At long last the hit horror video game franchise gets the big screen treatment. October 27 on Peacock and in theaters.
3. Chucky- Everyone’s favorite killer doll is back! After a disappointing second season, hopefully the third season will be a return to form. We’ll find out Oct. 4 on SyFy/USA.
4. The Fall Of The House Of Usher- Mike Flanagan’s latest horror series hits Netflix October 12.
5. The Rolling Stones- Hackney Diamonds- The legendary classic rock band is back with a brand new album on October 20. On streaming and physical media.
6. Killers of the Flower Moon- Martin Scorsese’s much anticipated new film hits theaters October 20.
7. Loki Season 2- One of the best MCU series returns for another twisty new season Oct. 5. on Disney+.
8. The Holdovers- One of the best modern filmmakers (Alexander Payne) reteams with one of the best modern actors (Paul Giamatti) in a new comedy. October 27 in theaters.
9. Goosebumps- R.L. Stine’s beloved book series gets a brand new TV series on Disney+ October 13th just in time for Halloween.
10. The Caine Mutiny Court-Martial- The late great William Friedkin’s final film hits Paramount+ Oct. 6.
