What’s Being Released In September 2023?

September tends to be a dry month for entertainment, but this month is pretty packed across the board. On with the list!
1. The Creator- Gareth Edwards is responsible for making 2 of my favorite films of the past decade with “Godzilla” (2014) and “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.” I can’t wait to see what he has in store with this original sci-fi story. Sept. 29 in theaters.
2. NFL- The wait is almost over. The 2023 NFL season kicks off Sept. 7 with the Chiefs taking on the Lions.
3. Starfield- Bethesda’s new action RPG is arguably the most anticipated game of the year. Will it live up to the hype? We’ll find out Sept. 6. Xbox Series S/X and Wndows.
4. The Continental- The world of “John Wick” expands to TV with a new prequel mini-series launching on Peacock Sept. 22.
5. Saw X- “Would you like to play a game?” The “Saw” franchise returns with a new sequel that is set in between the first 2 films. Sept. 29 in theaters.
6. Green Day: Dookie- In celebration of the seminal rock album’s 30th anniversary, a brand new box set featuring live performances, demos and outtakes will hit vinyl, CD, and digital Sept. 29th.
7. The Wheel Of Time- Amazon’s fantasy series based on Robert Jordan’s long-running series of novels returns for a second season Sept. 1.
8. Gamera Rebirth- it’s been 17 years since “Gamera The Brave,” but everyone’s favorite giant turtle returns with a new Netflix animated series Sept. 7.
9. Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse- The year’s best movie (so far) swings into stores Sept. 5.
10. The Changeling- A new Apple horror-fantasy series starring Lakeith Stanfield. I’ve managed to stay spoiler free on just what this is about, but I’m certainly intrigued. Sept. 8 on Apple TV+
