Ranking The MCU Series And Specials

With “Secret Invasion” premiering on Wednesday, it felt like the right time to look back at the MCU Series by ranking all 10. Yes, I am including the animated “What If…?” series and the two “special presentations” in the mix.
1. WandaVision- Simply put, this 9 episode series is one of the all-time best comic book series to date. It’s a mature and psychological character piece that also creatively interjects TV history into its DNA. I keep hoping we will see another series on this level again, but so far nothing has come even remotely close.
2. Werewolf By Night- A stylish and shockingly adult horror-mystery tale. Can we get more adventures of Jack Russell and Man-Thing, please?
3. Loki- The story gets a bit messy for its own good, but the introductions of Kang, Mobius and Sylvie elevate the entire series as a whole. Hopefully the forthcoming season 2 is just as good if not better.
4. She-Hulk: Attorney At Law-As zany and weird as the show was, it deserves credit for being a wildly different entry in the MCU. Bonus points given for Daredevil’s excellent return and the bizarre meta finale.
5. Ms. Marvel- The show is all over the place as each episode feels like a different show tonally. With that said, a star is born with Iman Vellani and the show’s exploration of cultures, the past, and family were always engaging.
6. What If…?- A hit-and-miss animated anthology series with some fantastic episodes involving T’Challa and Thor.
7. Hawkeye- Look, we all love Yelena and Pizza Dog, but the cartoony action was really hard to stomach (especially when it watered down the character of Kingpin).
8. Moon Knight- Ethan Hawke and Oscar Isaac are great in this series to be sure, but the clumsy and rushed plotting let it down.
9. The Falcon And The Winter Soldier- After an impressive opening episode, the series falls apart completely with undercooked villains (the Flag Smashers), forced drama, and boring boat drama. Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan deserved so much better.
10. The Guardians Of The Galaxy Holiday Special- This might be a hot take, but this super slight special fell completely flat for me. Luckily, the underrated “Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3” made up for it.
