The Venture Brothers Complete Series DVD Set Is Now Available

Fans of the long-running Adult Swim adult animated series can now own the entire 7 season series on DVD for the first time. In case you are wondering, WB did not opt for a Blu-ray release too. 

With the forthcoming film “The Venture Brothers: Radiant Is The Blood Of The Baboon Heart” set for release July 25, now is as good of a time as any to revisit the cult series or binge all 81 episodes for the very first time. For those that are unaware, the Jackson Publick created comedic action-adventure series revolves around the titular dopey teen characters (twins Hank and Dean), their scientist, industrialist, and former adventurer father Dr. Venture AKA Rusty, and bodyguard/secret agent Brock Samson (voiced to perfection by the always reliable Patrick Warburton). The Monarch is their main nemesis who is aided by assistant turned wife Dr. Girlfriend, henchmen, and sometimes other foes. The “Johnny Quest” Indiana Jones, and James Bond esque spoof series offers up plenty of quirky allies for the show’s heroes too such as Master Billy Quizboy and Action Man. Storylines involve everything from adventures of the week, villainous organizations, clones, robots, traps and cliffhangers, flashbacks, bases/compounds, Hell, mutants, family, raunchy humor, you get the drift.

Given that this is essentially a repack of the previous season releases, there is no new content here. Extra feature wise, viewers can expect cast and crew commentaries, deleted scenes, promos, the pilot episode, all 4 specials, behind-the-scenes featurettes, and much more.

Presentation: 4:3 for the first 2 seasons and 1.78:1 for the remaining 5 seasons. 

Audio Tracks: Dolby Digital 2.0 for the first 4 seasons and Dolby Digital 5.1 for the final 3 seasons.
