Top 10 X-Files Episodes
In honor of the return of “The X-Files” miniseries on Sunday Jan. 24th, it felt like the right time to pay tribute to the series with a look back at some of my personal favorite episodes of the show’s run. So, without further adieu…
- Clyde Bruckman’s Final Repose- This brilliantly written episode best represents the series as a whole.
- The Host- The king of the monster episodes. Flukeman rules!
- Home- The most controversial and scariest episode of the series.
- Musings of a Cigarette Smoking Man- A great exploration of the enigmatic fan favorite character.
- Monday- A clever “Groundhog Day” esque tale.
- D.P.O.- A memorable freak of the week episode featuring a young Giovanni Ribisi and Jack Black.
- Tooms- Doug Hutchinson steals the show as the creepy titular villain. “Squeeze” could easily be in this spot too.
- Humbug- A unique horror-comedy episode that stood out in the first 2 seasons.
- Quagmire- A fun take on the Loch Ness monster.
- Pilot- The very first episode deserves a place on here simply for grabbing your attention from the get-go.
