ER: The Complete Thirteenth Season
The long running medical series, E.R., displays why it has received more emmys than any other dramatic television series here in Season 13. The winning formula of medical drama with guest stars such as Forest Whitaker and Sally Field blends perfectly with the lives of the personnel of the E.R., who have become part of the family over the years. The lives and romances are all featured in this season set, with Abby (Maura Tierney) pregnant and (Sam) Linda Cardellini and son kidnapped. New cast members include John Stamos, who is a hunk to the ladies but is also mysterious to his sexual lifestyle. Luka struggles with his duties in and out of the hospital while Weaver get demoted. Guest stars include Sean Young as a mentally disturbed woman, Stanley Tucci as a hospital administrator, and Annabella Sciorra as a photographer.
Picture is widescreen and it looks good as usual, complete with lots of medical gore. Sound is Dolby 5.1 and is typical surround for network television. Extras are few with just a few deleted scenes added to some episodes. Disappointing not more is offered.
“E.R.: The Complete Thirteenth Season” is another solid season set with all the drama you have come to expect from this emmy winning show. A recommended buy for fans of the show.
