Tom & Jerry: Deluxe Anniversary Collection

This special anniversary collection contains mostly classic cartoons (already released in other collection sets) and 5 new to dvd shorts, mostly modern cartoons or releases from the television show.  These cartoons are not up to par with the classics from Hanna-Barbera/Tex Avery from MGM.  If you are a collector, you probably already own most of these shorts.

Warner does put a disclaimer on the back cover stating these cartoons are not made for children but for adult collectors only.  This gets them of the hook for the violence and racism seen in some of the older cartoons.  If you would just like one set of Tom and Jerry at a decent price, this set is a good sampling of what else is available.

This special anniversary collection is a good starting point for people wanting just one set of Tom and Jerry.  It contains a good sampling of other collections plus some newer cartoons to pad it.  If you are looking for rarities, they are not on this set.
