Skin Traffik DVD Review
“Skin Traffik” bores far more than it thrills.
After spending years of his life as a hit man, Bradley calls it quits and opts to live a quiet life after he accidentally kills an innocent woman. Alas, trouble knocks on his doorstep when he encounters a violent pimp and his minions. From here on out, Bradley attempts to redeem himself as he tries to save the missing sister (Jessica) of a woman (Anna) he saved from the pimp. Unfortunately for Bradley, his quest is fraught with bad guys who want him dead (most notably the powerful Executive).
Even for a low budget action film, “Skin Traffik” doesn’t offer much in the way of thrills. Between the choppy editing and the endless scenes of Bradley killing bad guys, the film is largely tedious unless you enjoy constant scenes of Bradley (played by a Daniel Craig looking Gary Daniels) wandering around shooting and kicking people for 97 minutes.
Speaking of the cast, the movie tries desperately to coast on its star power (Mickey Rourke, Michael Madsen, Daryl Hannah, Jeff Fahey, Eric Roberts, and Dominique Swain sporting an awful Russian accent). Sadly, none of the stars have much to do aside from engage in often pointless conversations on screen. This was no doubt a ruse by director Ara Paiaya to milk the star power as much as humanly possible.
Video/Audio:
Presentation: 2.40:1. How does it look? While not the most visually appealing film, the transfer is decent.
Audio Track: 5.1 Surround. How does it sound? It does the job.
Extras: Alchemy trailers.
