The Incredibles Blu-Ray
Disney and Pixar score another home run with the blu-ray release of “The Incredibles.”
This release has been released just in time to promote the upcoming “Incredibles 2” which will hit theaters this summer but this film needs no sequel. Pixar and Brad Bird (The Iron Giant) have carefully crafted an entertaining story for both adult and child, mixed in some comic book humor and plot and with the “Incredible” family saving the day. While this computer animated film is full of lots of action, there is also a nice story underneath it all which puts it a notch above most other animated features today.
This blu-ray set boasts a beautiful 1080p picture, with details brought out not seen before on home video. The film also has a 7.1 DTS_MA soundtrack for all the action sequences. The extras exclusive to blu-ray include 3 commentary tracks( Directors, Animators and one for the short film ),
Jack Jack Attack-an Incredibles short film, Jack Jack Attack Explored, The Incredibles Reunited( a feature with the crew discussing all aspects of production), Elle’s Anthem with the film’s composer, Paths To Pixar about the storyboard crew ), Studio Stories, Ending With A Bang, The New Nomanison( Interactive map of Nomanison Island and introduction ) , some Deleted Scenes, Teaser trailer, Making of feature, and all the features from the original dvd set.
This set also includes a dvd and digital copy on two more discs. As usual, Disney provides a lot of great material while keeping the price reasonable.
A great set, film for young and old and an “Incredible” value, this one deserves a place in your disc library and will provide many hours of entertainment for your whole family.
